Project Manager
Position of the Project Manager (PM) requires a combination
of management ability, leadership qualities, and is customer oriented.
The PM requires technical knowledge of rotary/fixed wing flight and
maintenance operations, knowledge of Army Aviation Program requirements and the
Army Maintenance Management System – Aviation (TAMMS-A).
The PM also requires technical knowledge of ground air defense systems
operation and maintenance, the Army Maintenance Management System – Ground
(TAMMS-G) and have a background with other DOD programs.
Individual must be able to compose written documentation and to read and
interpret various types of data and specifications.
Individual will function as liaison between the Government and Contractor
Senior management and coordinate with the COR/
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Position requires at least fifteen (15) years maintenance/operation management and or program/project management experience with at least five (5) years directly managing aircraft and ground maintenance operations; and must have an A&P license.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: The Project Manager shall have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific/technical discipline, or Project Management from an accredited university and at least five (5) years managing integration and support systems.
SKILL AREAS:
A. Ability to meet constraints of time, cost, and technical performance, while focusing on customers’ needs through strong leadership, decision-making, management, and communication skills.
B. Recent knowledge of organization processes, risk management, quality processes and quality management, schedule and cost control, and basic contracting law.
C. Ability to supervise Contractor Support personnel to ensure Contractor program requirements are implemented and operated to PWS requirements.

Aviation
Maintenance Manager
Must possess a working knowledge of Army Maintenance Management Procedures and The Army Maintenance Management System – Aviation (TAMMS-A) and have worked other programs similar to these. The individual must possess a Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Power Plant (FAA A&P) License preferably with an Aircraft Inspection (AI). The individual must be able to compose written documentation, and to read and interpret various technical drawings, data, and specifications. Individual shall possess the ability to use computer. Individual shall have significant experience in the following: Supervising, team leading, and able to provide technical guidance to subordinate personnel. Individual shall have experience preparing status reports; monitoring equipment readiness; coordinating with maintenance and logistical support activities; assisting in mission planning, operations and training. Individual shall possess extensive programmatic resource management experience, problem solving, and communication skills.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Position requires at least fifteen (15) years experience; twelve (12) years of which includes maintaining complex, turbine powered, rotary and fixed-wing aircraft to include complex aircraft modifications.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Selected individual shall be a graduate of the US Army Maintenance Manager Maintenance Test Pilots Course School and/or shall hold an FAA Commercial/Instrument Helicopter rating.
Quality Control
Manager (Exempt)
Plans, coordinates, and directs quality control program to ensure continuous production consistent with established standards. Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product. Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. Directs workers, through intermediate personnel, engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products. Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability. May investigate and adjust customer complaints regarding quality.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: At least three (3) years of related technical experience.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Selected individual shall hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or related scientific or technical discipline. Six (6) years of applicable professional technical experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

Maintenance Test
Pilot
Performs flights and demonstrates proficiency during standardization flights on aircraft. Performs mathematical calculations required for weight and balance, performance data for take off, cruise, and landing configurations of aircraft that individuals are qualified in. Performs pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures in accordance with Company and army directives. Performs operational ground checks, taxi checks, hover checks on rotary wing aircraft; functional check flights, general and limited maintenance test flights, confirmation check flights of aircraft and aircraft systems undergoing maintenance and determines, in accordance with technical publications and company procedures, the airworthiness of an aircraft prior to its release for customer use. Performs troubleshooting procedures of an aircraft on the ground and in flight and makes appropriate (verbal or written log entry) recommendations to assist ground personnel in correcting deficiencies. Performs recovery and ferry flights. Instructs maintenance personnel of aircraft ground run-up and taxi operations to prepare employees for certification. Keeps abreast of and complies with FAA and local flying regulations and safety procedures as applicable for the job. Maintains proficiency in basic flight maneuvers, appropriate aircraft emergency procedures and instrument flying consistent with technical publications and Company requirements. Briefs and demonstrates operational and emergency procedures to flight crew and non-crew members. Engages in study, preparation, and personal development to further physical and mental skills required to operate aircraft. Operates motor vehicles in performance of assigned duties. Completes records as required by the Army Maintenance Management System – Aviation (TAMMS-A) necessary to record aircraft and/or engine performance data. Performs prescribed cleaning, preservation and operator maintenance work on vehicles. Requires participation in instrument flight simulator training. When assigned to TSMO, is required to fly profile flights which may include NVG, PNVS, and tactics.

Pilot
Reviews aircraft documents to ascertain factors as load weight, fuel supply, weather conditions, flight route, and schedule. Orders changes in fuel supply, load, route, or schedule to insure safe of flight. Reads gauges to verify that oil, hydraulic fluid, fuel quantities, and cabin pressure are at prescribed levels prior to starting engines. Starts engines and taxies aircraft to runway. Sets brakes, and accelerates engines to verify operational readiness of components, such as superchargers, carburetor-heaters, and controls. Contacts control tower by radio to obtain take-off clearances and instructions. Releases brakes and moves throttles and hand and foot controls to take off and control aircraft in flight. Pilots aircraft to destination adhering to flight plan and regulations and procedures of Federal Government, Company, and airport. Logs information regarding time in flight, altitude flown, and fuel consumed. Must hold Commercial Pilot’s Certificate issued by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Instructs students or pilots in operation of aircraft. May be required to pilot helicopters or single-, twin-, and multi-engine planes. Must possess past or current designation as an aircraft commander in the applicable model aircraft. Must be able to meet applicable physical and physiological minimum requirements. Serves as pilot/co-pilot and aircraft commander for Acceptance, Functional, Check Flights; Support Flights; and Instructional Flights.

Aircraft Life
Support Equipment Officer
Repairs, modifies, maintains, and inspects all items of life support equipment, and instructs personnel in the concepts of Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE). May be required to adjust and/or operate ALSE in flight. Uses and evaluates new ALSE; performs major repairs, modifications, maintenance and inspection of all items of life support equipment in shop and flight line environments with minimal supervision. Fits flight helmets, oxygen masks, parachute harnesses, survival vests, and other items of equipment to assigned military and contractor crewmembers. Provides ALSE briefings to customers, employees, and crewmembers. Performs general administrative and technical duties that include serving as a point of contact for supply and calibration actions involving ALSE. Evaluates prototype ALSE during developmental stage. Operates test equipment in the maintenance and inspection of ALSE. Instructs aircrew personnel in the operation, use and operator maintenance of ALSE. Instructs non-aircrew personnel and civilians required to participate in regular and frequent flights on emergency procedures and proper operation and use of ALSE.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Position requires a minimum of four (4) years experience in the field of aircraft maintenance or the supply specialist classification, or possesses an FAA A&P license.

Chief Engineer
Imparts direction, coordination and functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff in accordance with project requirements. Assigns project personnel in accordance with engineering disciplines of staff to specific phases or aspects of project to include but not limited to technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans and product testing. Maintains compliance of product design with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications. Manages activities concerned with technical development, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems. Directs integration of technical activities and products. Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases. Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget. Prepares interim and completion project reports.
Qualified candidate must understand the need for exchange between the most desirable application of engineering or scientific principles and the budget constraints, priorities, schedules and other factors as well as be able to effectively communicate both the needs and the exchanges to the Government. Must possess knowledge of implementing documentation control procedures, current standards and best practices. Knowledge of professional documentation and presentation is required as well as effective liaison engineering with both Government and shop personnel. Must ensure quality control over engineering documentation, fabrication of components and application of modification.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum ten (10) years related technical experience in technical discipline.
EducationAL REQUIREMENTS: BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university required. Eight (8) years applicable professional technical experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

Aerospace
Engineer
Supports engineering efforts to provide airworthiness, engineering, technical and managerial leadership for problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation for intricate systems in the engineering field required to meet technical requirements. Participates in actions that develop recommendations and advice on airworthiness, enhancement, optimization or support efforts.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum ten (10) years of progressively complex experience in the design, development and assimilation of aircraft engineering assignments.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university required.

Engineering
Technician (I – III)
I: Performs simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures. Work is checked in progress or upon completion. Performs one or more typical duties such as: assembles or installs equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting; performs simple or routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests; operates and adjusts simple test equipment; records test data. Gathers and maintains specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.; performs computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plots data and draws simple curves and graphs.
II: Performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations. Follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives instruction on unfamiliar assignments; routine work is reviewed upon completion; non-routine work may also be reviewed while in progress. Performs one or more typical duties such as: follow explicit instructions, engineer data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources; process data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry; and present the data in prescribed form.
III: Performs assignments not completely standardized or prescribed. Selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using applicable precedents. Receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed; performs recurring work independently; work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity. Performs at this level one or more typical duties such as: constructs components, subunits, simple models, or adapts standard equipment. Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions as needed. Conducts tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in testing setup or procedure as well as subjective judgments in measurement; selects, sets up, and operates standard test equipment and records test data. Extracts and compiles a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, and lab reports. Processes data while identifying errors or inconsistencies; selects method of data presentation. Assists in design modification. Uses judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and searches for sources to clarify information.
MIMINUM EXPERIENCE: 0 to 10 years experience, depending upon level of Technician applied for. An Associates of Arts degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience. Additionally, completion of at least 30 semester hours of course studies in engineering, engineering technology, physics, mathematics, or computer science my be substitute for 2 years of experience requirement.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Must have a High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Completion of a civilian technical or trade school, or advanced armed services technical school curriculum in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments/ordnance, or engineering technology may also be required, depending upon level of Technician applied for.

Engineering
Technician (IV – VI)
IV: Performs non-routine assignments of substantial complexity, using operational precedents which may not be fully applicable. Assignments, which will usually be parts of broader assignments, are screened to eliminate unusual design issues. Obtains technical advice from supervisor or engineer; work is reviewed for conformity with instructions and technical adequacy. May utilize the assistance of lower level technicians and have frequent contact with professionals and co-workers. Performs one or more typical duties such as: develops and reviews designs by extracting and analyzing engineering data; applies conventional engineering practices to develop, prepare, and recommend schematics, designs, specifications, etc. Conducts tests or experiments requiring selection and possible modification of a variety of critical testing equipment; records and analyzes data and prepares test reports. Constructs experimental or prototype models to meet engineering requirements; conducts tests or experiments and makes redesigns as necessary. Records and evaluates data findings.
V: Performs non-routine and complex assignments requiring responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of limited scope or part of a larger, more diverse project. Selects and adapts plans, techniques, designs, and layouts. Interacts with personnel in related activities to reach problem resolution. Designs, develops, and constructs major units or equipment; conducts testing or experiments; analyzes and reports results. Using general guidelines and specifications, develops designs for equipment without critical performance requirements which are difficult to satisfy. Analyzes technical data to determine applicability to design problems; selects from many potential design layouts; prepares layouts, detailed specifications, parts lists, estimates, and procedures. May check and analyze drawings or equipment to determine adequacy of drawings and design. Plans or assists in planning tests for evaluation of equipment performance. Determines test requirements, equipment modification, and testing procedures; conducts tests using all types of instruments; analyzes test results and prepares reports and recommendations on findings.
VI: Independently plans and accomplishes complete projects or studies of broad scope and complexity. May serve as subject matter expert in a narrow aspect of particular field of engineering. Complexity of assignments will typically require considerable creativity and judgment to devise approaches to accomplish work, resolve design and operational issues, and make decisions in situations where standard engineering methods, procedures, and techniques may not be applicable. Advice on unusual or controversial problems or policy matters may be obtained from supervisor or professional engineer. Completed work is reviewed for compliance with overall project objectives. May supervisor or train and be assisted by lower level technicians. Performs one or more of the following typical duties: prepares designs and specifications for various complex equipment or systems; plans approach to solve design problems; conceives and recommends new design techniques; resolves design problems with unique operational deficiencies. Plans approach and conducts experiments to develop equipment or systems characterized by either difficult performance requirements or unusual combination of techniques or components. Arranges for fabrication of pilot models and determines design and test procedures of special test equipment.
MIMINUM EXPERIENCE: 15 to 21 years experience, depending upon level of Technician applied for. An Associates of Arts degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience. Drafter III
Generates detailed drawings used in the manufacture, assembly, installation and repair of electronic components, printed circuit boards and equipment to include wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical detail drawings and drawings of intermediate and final assemblies. Scrutinizes electronic schematics and supporting documents received from department of design engineering to develop, calculate and verify specifications drafting data such as configuration of parts, dimensions and tolerances.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum four (4) years of related technical experience.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Associate degree in technical training required.

Instrumentation
Engineer
Devises, selects, sets up and operates electronic instrumentation and related electromechanical or electrohydraulic equipment used for operational and environmental testing of mechanical, structural or electrical equipment and translates test data for engineering personnel to formulate engineering design and evaluation decisions. Selects, installs, calibrates and checks sensing, telemetering and recording instrumentation and circuitry and develops specifications for nonstandard equipment according to engineering data, characteristics of equipment under test and capabilities of procurable test equipment. Sketches and builds or modifies jigs, fixtures and instruments related to equipment and verifies dimensional and functional acceptability of devices fabricated by craft or technical personnel. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of test and peripheral equipment. Installs or directs installation of unit in test chamber or other test facility by technical personnel. Operates test equipment during test cycle to produce, regulate and record effects of actual or simulated conditions. Analyzes and converts test data to usable form using mathematical formulas and prepares graphs and written reports to translate test results.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum three (3) years related technical experience.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline. Six (6) years applicable professional technical experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

Aircraft Mechanic
Services, repairs and overhauls aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure airworthiness. Repairs, replaces and rebuilds aircraft structures such as wings and fuselage and determines feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components; examines engines for cracked cylinders and oil leaks, listens to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions; inspects turbine blades to detect cracks or breaks; tests engine operation using appropriate testing equipment to locate source of malfunctions; replaces or repairs worn or damages components using appropriate hand tools, gauges or test equipment; removes engine from aircraft using hoist or forklift truck; disassembles and inspects parts for wear, warping or other defects; repairs or replaces defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft; adjusts, repairs or replaces electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories; performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft including but not limited to flushing crankcase, cleaning screen, greasing moving parts and checking brakes. May service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs short of overhaul required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition. May specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision and functional spare parts and assemblies. May specialize in engine repair.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Power Plant license and minimum four (4) years experience in aviation maintenance required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Course completion from a civilian or military aviation technical school in aircraft maintenance with a current Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Power Plant License.

Sheet Metal
Worker
Qualified candidate must possess ability to perform sheet metal repairs to a variety of aircraft as well as install prototype equipment and make modifications to the existing airframe. Must possess a thorough knowledge of sheet metal materials and repair techniques as well as the proper use of tools and equipment associated with a sheet metal shop. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and rudimentary drawings as well as possess the ability to coordinate with engineering personnel on aircraft modification and provide technical assistance to project engineers, contractors and factory representatives.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High school diploma, or GED certificate. Must be a graduate from a recognized civilian or military trade school required.

Aircraft QC
Inspector
Conducts aircraft, aircraft component and shop inspections to ensure compliance with Army technical instructions; Maintains technical publications, forms and related aircraft records; Administers and monitors ADAP and TBO programs to include weight and balance programs. Initiate and follow up on Quality Deficiency reports, ensure compliance with SOF and MIM directives. Facilitate any special requirements as required by management personnel.
MIMIMUM EXPERIENCE: Six years total aircraft maintenance experience; Two years aircraft inspector fixed rotary wing under the Army Maintenance Management System in the last five years FAA A&P. Ten years rotary wing maintenance experience may be substituted for inspector experience.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: HS or GED certificate. Must be a graduate of a recognized civilian or military school or show equivalent qualifications for electronics/avionics maintenance, repair and overhaul.

Quality Control
Inspector
Conducts ground system, ground system component and shop inspections to assure compliance with TSMO technical instructions and related directives; Maintains technical publications and related directives; Administer and monitor spare parts and tool control programs to include related preventative maintenance programs. Ensure compliance with SOF and MIM directives. Facilitate any special requirements as required by supervisory personnel.
MINIMUM EXPEIENCE: Six years total experience in air defense systems maintenance; Two years specific experience on Russian and other foreign air defense systems.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: HS or GED certificate. Must be a graduate of a civilian or military trade school.

Quality Control
Technician
Tests and inspects products as various stages of the production process. Compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures. Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. Recommends modifications of existing quality or productions standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
MINIMUM EXPEIENCE: Four years of related technical experience.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Associate Degree or Technical Training.
Safety Officer
Coordinates with the TSMO Safety Officer on all safety related issues. Must be knowledgeable of safety issues and have safety experience with ground air defense operation, maintenance and scheduler.
MINIMUM EXPEIENCE: Must have five years safety experience with at least three years working as a Aviation Safety Officer.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and be a graduate of the US Army Aviation Safety Officers Course.

Avionics
Technician
Inspects, checks, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls, and maintains avionics and similar equipment. Performs calibration of tools and equipment. Must be able to maintain standard and non standard test equipment, instrument, meters and gauges used in troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of aircraft avionics, electrical and instrument systems. Performs inspection, functional check, troubleshooting, modification, repair, navigation, autopilot automatic stabilization, instrument, ASE and photo systems, components and parts. Completes and maintains records and reports as functional assignments require.
MINIMUM EXPEIENCE: Four years experience in inspection, troubleshooting, major repair, modification and overhaul of components in aircraft avionics, radio, NAVID, radar, autopilot, electromechanical, ASE equipment and instrument systems.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have a HS or GED certificate. Must be a graduate of a civilian or military school for electronics/avionics maintenance, repair and overhaul.

Library Specialist
Maintains library collections of operations and maintenance manuals, system drawings, systems documentation, and other materials to assist groups and individuals in locating and obtaining system information and materials. Explains and assists in use of reference documents to locate information. Issues and receives materials for circulation or use in the library. Assembles and arranges updates to system documents and other library materials. Maintains reference and circulation materials. Answers correspondence on special reference subjects. Compiles lists of library materials according to subjects of interest.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Must have completed a four (4) year apprenticeship program and have two (2) years as a Journeyman Model/Instrument or a minimum of eight (8) years experience working as a Journeyman Model/Instrument Maker.

Material Coordinator
Performs supply, clerical and logistical functions related to aircraft maintenance to include: receiving, sorting, storing, shipping, issuing, transferring, inspecting, transporting, compiling data, and validating inventory. Receives, unloads, and segregates property. Verifies correctness of quantities, condition, stock/part numbers, serial, and/or model numbers against receiving/shipping documents obtained from either commercial or government source. Operates materiel handling equipment, vehicles, office machines, mechanical equipment, and tools in the performance or assigned duties. Moves property to receiving points, compares physical count, identity, condition and status of property. Stores, handles and disposes of hazardous material and waste. Arranges property storage facilities to facilitate issue, inventory and segregation by type or class within fire and safety requirements. Controls issue of classified, sensitive, and controlled items, obtaining custody or document receipts. Compiles data for storage and occupancy planning reports. Prepares materiel for shipment. Performs the timely movement of supplies from one area to another. Delivers and transfers materiel from issue, shipping, or transfer destination points. Determines the requirements for transportation of all material and waste in accordance with Federal Regulations. Must be able to use data processing terminals, automated reports, and supply procedures in performing supply issues, receipts, and inventory. Performs warehouse validation, prepares warehouse for inventory, provides and controls inventory hold areas, and makes emergency issues and shipment. Conducts inventory and prepares inventory adjustments and other required documentation.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience in a Supply function. Related clerical or aircraft maintenance experience may be substituted for Supply experience.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate and have the knowledge and ability to complete mathematical calculations.
Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping and receiving goods. Handles unusual non-routine problems, receives specific guidance from supervisor or other officials. In performing day-to-day routine tasks, follows established guidelines. May direct and coordinate the activities of other workers engaged in handling goods to be shipped or being received.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years experience in shipping and receiving or related field.

Supply Clerk
Minimum two (2) years experience in aircraft supply – familiar with military supply system. Issue tools, calibrate and maintain status of calibration on special tools and equipment, insure tools and equipment are clean and are working properly, maintain inventory of components of calibrated equipment, log outgoing shipments, inventory incoming shipments, maintain accountability of recoverable items, turn in and maintain records of excess or unserviceable parts and equipment, order, record and attain materials and/or equipment procured through Army Unit Supply, issue documented supplies to maintenance personnel, maintain and inventory warehouse stock, prepare monthly reports, and other supply tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of related technical supply experience.

Supply Technician
Issue tools, calibrate and maintain status of calibration on special tools and equipment, insure tools and equipment are clean and are working properly, maintain inventory of components of calibrated equipment, turn in and maintain records of excess or unserviceable parts and equipment, order, record and attain materials and/or equipment procured through Army Unit Supply, maintain and distribute administrative supply stocks, maintain and record cancellations, modifications and status of requisitioning documents, lateral searches of parts, issue documented supplies to maintenance personnel, document supply requests, maintain warehouse stockage by ordering supplies, maintain and inventory warehouse stock, receive, document and distribute supplies, pick up and turn in parts and requisitions for parts, make special pickups and deliveries.

Warehouse
Specialist
Performs a variety of warehousing duties requiring knowledge and understanding of the establishment’s storage plan. Duties involve most of the following: Verification of materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with established storage methods; rearranging and inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehouse duties.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years warehouse-related experience.

Technical Writer
Develops, writes, and edits material for reports, manuals, proposals, briefs, instructional material, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications pertaining to work methods and procedures, installation, operational and maintenance of machinery and other equipment as assigned by supervisory personnel. Observes production, developmental and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail Responsibilities include: interviewing production and engineering personnel, reading journals, reports and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods. In addition, reviews manufacturer’s and trade catalogs, drawings and other data related to operation, maintenance and service of equipment. Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mock-ups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail. Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. Reviews published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding. May also maintain records and files of work and revisions. Selects photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material as assigned. May assist in laying out materials for speeches, articles, and public/employee relations releases. Edits, standardizes or makes changes to material prepared by other writers or plant personnel as assigned. May specialize in writing material regarding work methods and procedures.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum of four years experience in gathering, analyzing, and composition of technical information; conducting research and ensuring the use of proper technical terminology; and writing and editing technical reports and documents.

Russian (Exempt)
Responsible to handle technical foreign literature searches and translation assignments with little or no supervision or guidance.

ADP Support
Technician (Exempt)
Must be experienced in communications, software, hardware or networks. Experience in the following areas is required: protocol analysis, knowledge of Open Systems Interconnection protocol (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, X.25.X 400, and X.500). Experience with Asynchronous Transfer Mode, frame, relay H bridges, routers, gateways, Fiber Distributed Data Interface, and UNIX operating systems are required. Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) or Enterprise CNE experience is desired, as well as supervising the operation and maintenance of communication network systems, mainframe, mini or client/server based. Evaluates communication hardware and software, troubleshoots Local Area Network/M Area Network/Wide Area Network and network related problems. Provides technical expertise for performance and configuration of networks. Schedules conversions and cutovers. Oversees network control center. Supervises maintenance of systems.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Five years related technical experience.

Software Engineer
(Exempt)
Performs moderately complex analysis, design, development, integration, testing and debugging of computer software. Activities range from operating system architecture integration, software design and recommendation of products. Assists in integration, documentation and maintenance of USMTF and TADIL standard automation tools. Manages and/or performs validation and certification of reusable software components and other software development artifacts for entry into the DOD software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams or other commonly accepted design techniques, and computer aided software engineering (CASE) tools. Estimates software development cost and schedule, oversees software configuration management, interprets software requirements and design specifications, manages/performs independent verification and validation, manages integration and software test activities. Must have experience managing or performing software engineering activities. Work may require expertise in the following areas: 3GL and 4GL programming languages (Ada, C+, C++, etc.); 4GL, object-oriented, client-server development tools (Visual Basic, etc.); Database technology (e.g. RDBMS(e.g., INGRES, ODBMS, SQL, MS ACCESS, ODBC); Network Operating System environments (Windows NT, UNIX, etc.); Electronic publishing tools, techniques, and environments (Folio Views, MS WOSA, etc.); and Internet Web Technology, such as design and implementation of Web pages and servers.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three years of technical experience related to the duties described above.

System Engineer
(Exempt)
Develops and applies highly advanced and innovative methods, theories and research techniques in investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical program in design and development of computer systems requiring expert application of advanced knowledge. Plans, conducts and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects, coordinates the efforts of engineers and technical support staff in performance of assigned projects. Conducts complex investigations. Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to solution of assigned projects. May review completion and implementation of systems additions and/or enhancements and recommends corrections in technical application and analysis to management. May evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. Provides technical consultation to other organizations. Provides work leadership for lower level employees. Incumbents typically are widely recognized for their achievements, technical expertise and meritorious standing within their professional field. Work is usually on the forefront of new technologies. May be responsible for the management of the Systems Engineering function through subordinate supervisors/managers.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three years of related technical experience.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline. Six years applicable professional technical experience may be substituted for education requirements.
