Fred McNab

Director, ATTC

Fred McNab serves as the Director of the Aviation Technical Test Center (ATTC) for Army Fleet Support (AFS). He has over forty (40) years of effective hands on experience in managing all facets of Army Aviation activities of an independent operating unit supporting aircraft maintenance with research and development test operations. Mr. McNab is experienced in developing schedules consistent with projected flight hours and programs for test aircraft requirements to include planning, developing, publishing and implementing production policies and procedures for effective administration, supervision and operation of the aviation test support mission. He has hands on experience with the electronic logbook automation system (ELAS) using a laptop computer for the aircraft logbook. Mr. McNab was instrumental in the conversion of the Army Aviation record keeping procedures from the TB-AVN procedure to TAMMS, and he has extensive experience in the weight and balance program providing computation for the desired center of gravity during test executions.

Mr. McNab has experience working with the following type aircraft:

L-19, l-20, l-23, U-1A, CV-2, CV-7, C-47, OV-1, OV-10, P-51, CH-19, OH-32, CH-34, CH-37, CH-21, YH-40, UH-1, CH-47, UH-60, AH-64 and AH-1G.
